Acrylic Floating Frame Wall Mount 9"x12" | Standard or UV Acrylic

This 9"x12" floating frame is a clean, simple way to display the things worth keeping. Whether that is a photo, a drawing, an original artwork, a music sheet cover, a comic cover, a magazine cover, a print, or anything else up to 9"x12", the larger format gives each piece room to make a real impression. Hang it portrait or landscape. Two 12"x15" clear acrylic panels hold your piece in place, secured by four standoffs in Gold, Rose Gold, Black, or Silver. Display it as a standalone piece or include it in a gallery wall arrangement.

Ideal Use Cases
  • Photos: Larger format photo prints at 9"x12" have a presence that smaller sizes simply cannot match. The 1.5" clear border on all sides frames the image cleanly without a mat, and UV filtering acrylic keeps the colors accurate over time.
  • Drawings: Original pencil, ink, charcoal, or watercolor drawings up to 9"x12" sit securely between the two clear panels. UV filtering acrylic is a good choice for works on paper, which can yellow and fade under ambient light over time.
  • Artwork: The 12"x15" acrylic panels keep a traditional frame from competing with the work itself. At this size, the piece has enough room to stand on its own terms with nothing but clear acrylic around it.
  • Gallery wall: A 9"x12" frame works well as a larger anchor piece in a mixed gallery arrangement. Four hardware finishes make it easy to match or contrast with smaller frames nearby.
  • Music sheet covers: Sheet music cover art is often in or near the 9"x12" range. The frameless display shows off the full cover design and the tool free standoff system makes rotating a collection genuinely easy.
  • Comic or magazine covers: Vintage and current comic or magazine covers fit this format well and look great preserved between two clear acrylic panels. The frameless look keeps the cover art front and center without any frame border cutting into it.
  • Prints: At 9"x12", a print has enough size to become a focal point on any wall. UV filtering acrylic slows fading on both pigment and inkjet prints, which is worth considering for limited edition or sentimental pieces.

Choosing Your Front Panel

Standard Acrylic is a great fit for photos, prints, and artwork in rooms that do not see a lot of direct sunlight. Clear, durable, and the more affordable option, it works well for pieces you plan to rotate or swap out over time.

UV-Filtering Acrylic blocks UV rays to slow color fading on original drawings, fine art prints, photographic prints, and paper-based pieces. If the frame is going near a window or in a well lit space, UV filtering acrylic is the right investment for anything you genuinely want to preserve.

Clean lines, four finish options, and a frameless look that gives the content the credit it deserves. Hang it portrait or landscape, solo or alongside other pieces. A 9"x12" frame has just enough presence to hold its own on any wall.

Acrylic FAQs

Please read our frequently asked questions to find out more.

What is the difference between cast and extruded acrylic?

Most acrylic sheet is manufactured by either extrusion or cell casting.  The benefits to cell casting are small minimums and a higher molecular weight.  This results in a slightly better chemical resistance, heat resistance and clarity.  The disadvantages to cell cast is that thickness tolerance within a sheet can vary. Extruded sheets offer the user less fluctuation in thickness across sheet.

What is the weight of acrylic per square foot?
