Acrylic Floating Frame Wall Mount 4x6 | Standard or UV Acrylic

This 4"x6" floating frame is a clean, simple way to display the things worth keeping. Whether that is a photo print, a postcard, a Polaroid, a pressed flower, a vintage stamp, an original artwork, a QR code, or anything else up to 4"x6", it deserves a proper home on the wall. Hang it portrait or landscape. Two 7"x9" clear acrylic panels hold your piece in place, secured by four standoffs in Gold, Rose Gold, Black, or Silver. Display it as a standalone piece or group several together for a gallery wall.

Ideal Use Cases
  • Prints: The 4"x6" format is one of the most common standard print sizes, which means most prints fit this frame straight out of the envelope with no trimming required.
  • Postcards: Standard postcards are a perfect 4"x6" fit. The even 1.5" border gives them the same clean, finished look as a traditionally matted piece without the extra cost.
  • Polaroid photos: Polaroids are close to the 4"x6" format and sit beautifully between the two acrylic panels. The frameless look keeps the nostalgic feel of the photo intact.
  • Pressed flowers: Dried botanicals fade faster than photographs under ambient light. UV filtering acrylic blocks the UV rays responsible for that fading, so the colors and details hold up much longer.
  • Stamps: The tool free standoff system makes rotating a stamp collection genuinely easy. Unscrew the four caps, swap the piece, and the frame is back on the wall in minutes.
  • Photos: Portrait and landscape photos both hang well in this frame. UV filtering acrylic is worth considering for photographic prints in rooms with window exposure.
  • Artwork: Small original works and limited edition art prints look great without a traditional frame pulling attention from the piece. The clear acrylic border keeps the focus entirely on the art.
  • QR codes: A 4"x6" QR code reads easily at close range, and the four standoff caps come off by hand when the link or content needs updating. No need to replace the frame itself.

Choosing Your Front Panel

Standard Acrylic is a great fit for photos, postcards, art prints, and collectibles displayed in rooms that do not see a lot of direct sunlight. It is clear, durable, and the more budget friendly option. If you swap out your display often, standard acrylic is a perfectly sensible choice.

UV-Filtering Acrylic blocks UV rays to slow color fading on photographs, pressed botanicals, vintage stamps, original artwork, and paper items like postcards. If the frame is going near a window or anywhere that gets consistent ambient light, UV filtering acrylic is worth it for anything you want to look its best for years to come.

The clean frameless look works portrait or landscape, and four metal finishes give you options whether you are matching a single piece to your wall hardware or coordinating a whole gallery. One frame makes a nice moment. Several make a wall worth looking at.

Acrylic FAQs

Please read our frequently asked questions to find out more.

What is the difference between cast and extruded acrylic?

Most acrylic sheet is manufactured by either extrusion or cell casting.  The benefits to cell casting are small minimums and a higher molecular weight.  This results in a slightly better chemical resistance, heat resistance and clarity.  The disadvantages to cell cast is that thickness tolerance within a sheet can vary. Extruded sheets offer the user less fluctuation in thickness across sheet.

What is the weight of acrylic per square foot?
