Acrylic Floating Frame Wall Mount 8x8 | Standard or UV Acrylic

This 8"x8" floating frame is a clean, simple way to display the things worth keeping. From Instagram snapshots and pet close-ups to botanical prints, pressed flowers, textured fabric pieces, and anything else up to 8"x8", the larger square format gives each piece real weight and presence on the wall. Since the frame is perfectly square, hang it any way you like. Two 11"x11" clear acrylic panels hold your piece in place, secured by four standoffs in Gold, Rose Gold, Black, or Silver. Display it as a standalone piece or group several together for a gallery wall.

Ideal Use Cases
  • Instagram snapshots: An 8"x8" frame is a natural match for square photo crops. The 11"x11" panels give the image room to breathe with a 1.5" border on all sides, so it reads like a proper display rather than a printout.
  • Photos: Portrait and landscape photos both look great at this size. UV filtering acrylic is worth choosing for photographic prints in any room that sees regular ambient light, since it slows the color shift that happens gradually over time.
  • Pet close-ups: At 8"x8", a pet portrait has enough size to show real personality and detail. The clear acrylic panels keep the focus entirely on the image without a traditional frame pulling attention away.
  • Line art: Fine lines and precise detail show clearly through the clear acrylic panels without distortion. The 1.5" border gives the composition visual space so intricate work does not feel crowded.
  • Botanical prints: Botanical illustration relies on accurate, true-to-life color. UV filtering acrylic slows the fading of the soft greens, warm yellows, and earthy tones that make botanical prints worth hanging.
  • Pressed flowers: Dried botanicals are more sensitive to light than photographs and lose their color faster. UV filtering acrylic is the practical choice for any pressed piece you want to stay looking beautiful long term.
  • Textured fabrics: Small textile art pieces and fabric swatches up to 8"x8" sit securely between the two acrylic panels. The four standoff caps unscrew by hand when you want to rotate the display or try a different piece.
  • Prints: The 8"x8" is a popular format for limited edition art prints. The frameless acrylic look keeps the print itself at the center of attention rather than the hardware around it.
  • Gallery wall: Square frames sit naturally alongside rectangular ones in a mixed gallery arrangement. Four metal finish options give you the flexibility to match the frame to whatever hardware is already on the wall.

Choosing Your Front Panel

Standard Acrylic is a great choice for photos, prints, fabric pieces, and artwork in rooms that do not get a lot of direct sunlight. Clear, durable, and the more affordable option, it works well whether you plan to keep the same piece displayed long term or swap it out seasonally.

UV-Filtering Acrylic blocks UV rays to slow color fading on photographs, pressed botanicals, fine art prints, and natural pigment-based work. If the frame is going in a bright room or near a window, UV filtering acrylic gives you confidence that what is inside stays vibrant for years.

Whether you go with standard or UV filtering acrylic, the clean 11"x11" square format gives your content room to breathe without a traditional frame competing for attention. Four finish options, any orientation, and a frameless look that works just as well in a gallery wall as it does on its own.

Acrylic FAQs

Please read our frequently asked questions to find out more.

What is the difference between cast and extruded acrylic?

Most acrylic sheet is manufactured by either extrusion or cell casting.  The benefits to cell casting are small minimums and a higher molecular weight.  This results in a slightly better chemical resistance, heat resistance and clarity.  The disadvantages to cell cast is that thickness tolerance within a sheet can vary. Extruded sheets offer the user less fluctuation in thickness across sheet.
