Acrylic Floating Frame Wall Mount 20"x20" | Standard or UV Acrylic

A 20"x20" square frame is something you do not see every day, and that is part of what makes it work so well. Photos, prints, album cover art, original artwork, drawings, and anything else up to 20"x20" all sit beautifully in this format. There is no portrait or landscape on a square frame — it commands wall space equally in any direction and looks intentional wherever it lands. Two 23"x23" clear acrylic panels hold your piece in place, secured by four standoffs in Gold, Rose Gold, Black, or Silver. Hang it solo as a statement piece or build it into a gallery wall alongside other square frames for a grid arrangement that feels clean and considered.

Ideal Use Cases
  • Photos: Square format photography prints at 20"x20" have real visual weight on any wall. UV filtering acrylic is worth choosing here since it blocks UV rays to slow the color fading that photographic prints experience over time, especially in rooms with regular ambient light.
  • Prints: Large format square art prints are a natural fit for this frame. The clean frameless look keeps nothing between the print and the viewer, and the 1.5" clear border on all four sides gives even bold compositions room to settle before they meet the wall.
  • Vinyl record albums: Album cover art printed or reproduced at up to 20"x20" makes for a strong, clean wall display in any music-forward space. The square format matches the proportions of the original sleeve exactly, and four standoff finish options let you match the hardware to the room or the record collection.
  • Art: Original and reproduced artwork at 20"x20" fills wall space with presence. UV filtering acrylic is a practical choice for original pieces on paper or canvas since it slows color shift from UV exposure, protecting work that cannot simply be reprinted.
  • Drawings: Large format pencil, ink, or mixed media drawings fit securely between the two 23"x23" acrylic panels. For original drawings, UV filtering acrylic gives long-term protection against the gradual fading that works on paper experience under ambient light.
  • Gallery walls: The 20"x20" square is a strong anchor for a grid-style gallery arrangement. Pair several square frames from the same collection in a consistent standoff finish and the wall comes together without needing a design background to pull it off.

Choosing Your Front Panel

Standard Acrylic is a great fit for prints, artwork, album art, and drawings displayed in spaces without a lot of direct sunlight. It is clear, durable, and the more affordable option when long-term preservation is not the primary concern.

UV-Filtering Acrylic blocks UV rays to slow color fading on photographs, original art, and fine art prints. For a 20"x20" frame displaying something genuinely valuable or irreplaceable, the UV filtering upgrade is a straightforward way to protect the investment over the years the piece will be on the wall.

Four finish options, two panel choices, and a 23"x23" frameless display that gives a 20"x20" piece 1.5" of clean border on every side. Display it solo for real wall impact or line up several together for a grid gallery wall that looks intentional from across the room.

Acrylic FAQs

Please read our frequently asked questions to find out more.

What is the difference between cast and extruded acrylic?

Most acrylic sheet is manufactured by either extrusion or cell casting.  The benefits to cell casting are small minimums and a higher molecular weight.  This results in a slightly better chemical resistance, heat resistance and clarity.  The disadvantages to cell cast is that thickness tolerance within a sheet can vary. Extruded sheets offer the user less fluctuation in thickness across sheet.
