Acrylic Floating Frame Wall Mount 8x10 | Standard or UV Acrylic

The 8"x10" is one of the most classic frame sizes for good reason. This floating frame gives photos, documents, artwork, pressed flowers, prints, and anything else up to 8"x10" a clean, simple home on the wall. Hang it portrait or landscape. Two 11"x13" clear acrylic panels hold your piece in place, secured by four standoffs in Gold, Rose Gold, Black, or Silver. Display it on its own or add it to a gallery wall.

Ideal Use Cases
  • Standard photos: The 8"x10" is one of the most common print sizes from photo labs and portrait sessions. Prints fit this frame right out of the envelope with no trimming, and the 1.5" clear border gives them a finished, matted look without the extra cost.
  • Documents and certifications: Diplomas, licenses, and certificates look clean and professional displayed between the two clear acrylic panels. The tool free standoff system makes it easy to update the display if the document ever needs to be replaced or exchanged.
  • Matted photos: If your photo already has a mat that brings it to 8"x10", it fits this frame perfectly. The clear acrylic panels let the mat and the photo show through without any additional framing needed.
  • Pressed flowers: Dried botanicals are more sensitive to light than photographs and lose their color faster under ambient exposure. UV filtering acrylic blocks the UV rays responsible for that fading, keeping delicate pressed pieces looking their best long term.
  • Artwork: Original works and fine art prints look great in a frameless acrylic display where there is no physical frame competing for attention. The clear 11"x13" panels keep everything focused on the art itself.
  • Prints: The 8"x10" is a popular and widely available print size for photographers and illustrators. UV filtering acrylic is worth choosing for any pigment or inkjet print you want to stay vibrant over time.

Choosing Your Front Panel

Standard Acrylic is a solid choice for photos, documents, matted prints, and artwork in rooms that do not get a lot of direct sunlight. It is clear, durable, and the more affordable option. If you plan to rotate what is displayed or swap prints seasonally, standard acrylic works perfectly well.

UV-Filtering Acrylic blocks UV rays to slow color fading on photographs, fine art prints, pressed botanicals, and paper documents. If the frame is going near a window or in a room with consistent ambient light, UV filtering acrylic is the right choice for anything you want to preserve and enjoy for years.

The 8"x10" works for almost everything from family photos to framed certifications, and the frameless acrylic look suits them all equally well. Pick from four metal finishes, choose your panel, and hang it portrait or landscape on its own or as part of a larger wall arrangement.

Acrylic FAQs

Please read our frequently asked questions to find out more.

What is the difference between cast and extruded acrylic?

Most acrylic sheet is manufactured by either extrusion or cell casting.  The benefits to cell casting are small minimums and a higher molecular weight.  This results in a slightly better chemical resistance, heat resistance and clarity.  The disadvantages to cell cast is that thickness tolerance within a sheet can vary. Extruded sheets offer the user less fluctuation in thickness across sheet.

What is the weight of acrylic per square foot?
