Acrylic Floating Frame Wall Mount 12x12 | Standard or UV Acrylic

This 12"x12" floating frame is a clean, simple way to display the things worth keeping. Whether that is a vinyl record album cover, a photo print, a piece of original artwork, a geometric art print, a child's painting, or anything else up to 12"x12", the large square format gives it the wall space it deserves. Since the frame is perfectly square, orientation is entirely up to you. Two 15"x15" clear acrylic panels hold your piece in place, secured by four standoffs in Gold, Rose Gold, Black, or Silver. Display it as a standalone piece or group several together for a gallery wall.

Ideal Use Cases
  • Vinyl record album covers: Standard vinyl record sleeves are exactly 12"x12", which means they fit this frame with no trimming and no adjustment. The two clear acrylic panels protect the sleeve while keeping the full cover art visible from every angle.
  • Prints: Large format 12"x12" prints are a popular size for limited edition releases. UV filtering acrylic slows fading on pigment and inkjet prints, which matters for anything you plan to display long term.
  • Artwork: Original works up to 12"x12" look great in a frameless display where nothing competes with the piece itself. The clear 15"x15" panels give the artwork room without a physical border pulling attention away.
  • Photos: Square photo crops at 12"x12" are large enough to become a real focal point. The even 1.5" border on all sides gives the image the same visual weight as a traditionally matted print.
  • Kids paintings: Handmade paintings and drawings fit the frame well, and the tool free standoff system makes rotating the display genuinely easy. Swap in a new piece in minutes without touching the wall hardware.
  • Geometric art prints: The square format is a natural complement to geometric and abstract compositions, which often rely on symmetry and equal proportion. The even clear border on all sides reinforces that balance.
  • Gallery walls: A 15"x15" square is large enough to anchor a mixed gallery arrangement. Four hardware finish options make it straightforward to coordinate with smaller frames already on the wall.
Choosing Your Front Panel

Standard Acrylic is a great fit for photos, prints, artwork, record covers, and kids paintings in rooms that do not get a lot of direct sunlight. Clear and durable, it is the more affordable option and works well whether you plan to keep the same piece in the frame or rotate it regularly.

UV-Filtering Acrylic blocks UV rays to slow color fading on photographs, fine art prints, and paper-based originals. If the frame is going near a window or in a bright room, UV filtering acrylic is the right choice for anything you want to preserve and enjoy for years.

Whether you are displaying a record collection, original art, or a child's latest painting, the clean 15"x15" square format handles it all without a traditional frame getting in the way. Four finish options and two panel choices mean there is a version of this frame that works for almost any room.

Acrylic FAQs

Please read our frequently asked questions to find out more.

What is the difference between cast and extruded acrylic?

Most acrylic sheet is manufactured by either extrusion or cell casting.  The benefits to cell casting are small minimums and a higher molecular weight.  This results in a slightly better chemical resistance, heat resistance and clarity.  The disadvantages to cell cast is that thickness tolerance within a sheet can vary. Extruded sheets offer the user less fluctuation in thickness across sheet.

What is the weight of acrylic per square foot?
